Grace to Repair

Jan 11, 2026    Pastor Jerome White

This powerful message invites us into a transformative journey of spiritual renovation—not the cosmetic kind where we simply rearrange our external lives, but the deep, foundational work that addresses what's truly broken within us. Drawing from Romans 12:1-2 and Psalm 103, we're challenged to stop decorating our brokenness and instead allow God's grace to completely repair us from the inside out. The sermon uses vivid imagery of home renovation to illustrate a profound truth: we cannot renovate a room while living in it comfortably. Many of us have grown accustomed to functioning dysfunctionally, carrying unresolved pain from childhood, past relationships, or previous disappointments into our present circumstances. We've learned to work around the broken places rather than fixing them. But God's grace offers something radically different—complete restoration. The message emphasizes that spiritual maturity requires development, which isn't always comfortable. It's noisy, disruptive, and demands that we step out of our comfort zones. Yet God promises that if our sins are blood red, they'll be made white as snow. The call here is clear: stop accepting partial healing, stop settling for crumbs, and stop dying like dogs waiting for someone to give you something. Instead, embrace the full covering of God's love and allow Him to complete the renovation He's started in your life.
