Easter Sunday 2025 - A Chosen History

Apr 20, 2025    Pastor Jerome White

Today, we delved into the profound concept of a 'chosen history' and its significance in our spiritual journey. We explored how Jesus' resurrection wasn't a mere accident, but a deliberate choice that shaped history. The central message reminds us that we, too, have the power to choose our history through our current actions. Just as Jesus stood on the promise of salvation, we're encouraged to stand firm in our faith, even in challenging times. The sermon drew parallels between Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac and God's sacrifice of Jesus, both occurring in the land of Moriah. This connection emphasizes the consistency of God's plan throughout history and how our present struggles may be setting the stage for future blessings. As we reflect on Jesus' humanity and his ability to sympathize with our weaknesses, we're challenged to approach our faith journey with renewed commitment and humility, knowing that if Jesus overcame, so can we.
