Salvation in Motion

Dec 21, 2025    Pastor Jerome White

What if our salvation isn't meant to be a static possession, but a dynamic force that propels us forward? This powerful message challenges us to move beyond the altar call and into active faith. Drawing from Romans 6:23 and First Corinthians 6:19-20, we're reminded that salvation came at the ultimate price—Jesus' life—yet it's offered to us freely. But here's the convicting truth: free for us doesn't mean without responsibility. Our bodies are described as 'long-term rentals,' temporary vessels housing eternal spirits. This isn't about religious performance; it's about recognizing that our very existence should verify God's existence to a watching world. The sermon uses a compelling illustration of a message being passed person-to-person, showing how easily truth gets distorted when we rely on secondhand spirituality instead of going directly to the Source. We're challenged to ask ourselves: Is our salvation growing, or have we been drinking spiritual formula for decades when we should be cutting up steaks? The call is clear—stop hiding your salvation in a closet and start putting it in motion through authentic relationship with God and intentional witness to others.
